Have you ever wondered why God doesn’t speak directly to us as he sometimes did in Biblical times? He does; we just have to remember where to listen…
Lord, I know it’s been a while since I last prayed, but you know how tough things have been at work, not to mention here at home; are you still there?
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God.” Isaiah 41:10
I know that Lord, I guess I just feel so far away because It’s been so long.
“Why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say?” Luke 6:46
I try to do what you want, Lord… well most of the time. It’s just been so difficult lately, with the pressures of the new job and all, the problems with the kids…I just feel so overwhelmed.
“My grace is sufficient for you…” 2 Corinthians 12:9
It always has been, I know that, but I’ve never had to deal with anything like this before. I seem to forget about you and try to handle everything on my own. Sometimes I feel like the whole world is against me.
“ You will have suffering in this world. Be courageous! I have conquered the world.” John 16:33
I feel so much better when I pray. I don’t know why I waited so long to come to you. With your guidance I know I can handle this, I can handle anything. Thank you, Father.
“…remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20
